The Contract Administration Division is responsible for all highway construction projects as they progress from:
• Advertisement
• Monthly Letting (January thru November)
• Transportation Commission Award
• Contract Execution
Upon contract execution, contract documents are distributed to a local Project Office for project administration. Monthly Contractor Estimates are created by these offices and processed by the Contract Administration Division for payment to the contractor.
Once projects are complete, the Contract Administration Division is responsible for checking final quantities submitted by the Project Office leading to a final estimate for financial settlement on the project.
Monthly Lettings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in the MDOT Administration Building, 401 North West Street, Jackson in the Sixth Floor Conference Room. A live video broadcast of the letting is available on this website.
